Role description
builds, develops, or renovates a property, then sells or leases it to residential and commercial customers. They may be involved with one stage of the property process, or the entire plan. Developers usually work closely with architects, planners, builders, and other real estate professionals. They might invest directly or indirectly in a property to meet the needs of residential, retail, and commercial customers. Tasks include researching and identifying new real estate development opportunities, determining the most profitable use of residential or commercial properties, negotiating the purchase of land or property, and creating housing designs, budgets, and construction schedules.
