Family Advocator

Role description

supports and improves family relationships through counselling and education. They specialise in assisting families who are dealing with trauma, addiction, or abuse, while others provide generalised support. Collaborate with educators, health care providers, and case managers, to ensure their clients' welfare interests are priority. They work for schools, NFP organisations, legal offices, government agencies, and health care networks. Responsibilities range from mediating between family members or health care providers, to developing programs to encourage family participation in education.
