Role description
oversees and manages the information technology (IT) department within an organisation. Maintain and improve the organisation’s internal technology processes as a way of maximising company productivity and making complex tasks more achievable through automation. Ensure that the technological functionality supports the overall strategic vision of the CEO. A CIO’S responsibilities range from approving the purchase of information technology equipment, managing the IT department and employees, and overseeing new network and system implementations.
