Role description
analyses financial data, and reports and prepares financial statements to help make an organisation operate efficiently. The main goal of an accountant is to ensure their employer is financially stable, but additionally, they will also monitor the financial health of their organisation and take corrective measures to prevent financial problems. If necessary, they escalate issues to senior accountants. Duties include monthly, quarterly and annual accounting tasks such as reconciling accounts, preparing reports, journals, forecasts and budgets, and recommending financial actions where necessary.
